Stephan Kammerer is a world-renowned saxophonist born in Denmark and based in New York City. Growing up in a household of musicians, he began playing music at a young age, with his father being a composer and music educator. After moving to the United States, Stephan received a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in 1993, where he studied with renowned saxophonists Bill Pierce, Fred Lipsius, and Ed Tomassi, honing his skills as a versatile saxophonist and graduating with honors.

During his time in Boston, Stephan also had the opportunity to study privately with Jerry Bergonzi, one of the most highly regarded saxophonists and educators in the world. These private studies allowed him to delve deeper into the intricacies of jazz improvisation and hone his skills as a soloist.

After moving to New York City in 2001, Stephan's professional career took off, and he quickly established himself as one of the most sought-after saxophonists in the city. He has since played with some of the most famous names in jazz, including Maynard Ferguson and the Artie Shaw Orchestra, showcasing his skill as a versatile saxophonist across a variety of styles.

In addition to his performing career, Stephan is also the owner of SK Mouthpieces, known for producing some of the best mouthpieces on the market. He has been hailed as "THE great mouthpiece master of our time," and his Omnis model is considered by many to be the best tenor mouthpiece available.

Throughout his career, Stephan has demonstrated his incredible playing skills and versatility, equally at home with funk, soul, R&B, and jazz. He continues to maintain a busy schedule as a performer, composer, and mouthpiece craftsman while also passing on his knowledge and passion for music to future generations of musicians.
